The Cottage

“St Margaret’s” is situated in the historic heritage-listed Faubourg quarter which dates from the 16th - 18th centuries. It is just a short walk from restaurants, shops and the beach, but the cottage is located in the quiet residential Rue Nungesser et Coli which is a cobble-stoned and stepped pedestrian-only street.

The cottage has two-bedrooms, a well-equipped modern kitchen, a spacious sitting room with two sofas, and a bathroom with shower, bath and toilet. There is a balcony at the rear of the cottage, with steps down to a sunny courtyard. This is bordered by colourful bougainvillea and has a table with a sun umbrella and seating for six people.  Courtyards are quite rare in Collioure maisons de pêcheur (fishermens’ cottages).

The amenities available in the apartment include:

  • Reverse-cycle air-conditioning/heating
  • Electric hot plates and oven
  • Refrigerator
  • Dishwasher
  • Washing machine
  • TV (with access to English television)
  • DVD player
  • Free WiFi and wired internet access

Parking can be a problem during the summer season in Collioure but the main official car-park is only 100m from the cottage and has short-term parking or weekly tickets which are much cheaper. There are several other car parks around the village for short-term parking.

There are also several free on-street parking sites close to the cottage. These sites are generally not known to tourists and are therefore more likely to have parking spaces available. Details of the locations of these free-parking areas are provided to our guests before arrival.
